On Chaturbate, some grey user profiles are created, but, there is no one behind the profile. It is just a program designed to advertise a product or a service. AKA "Spam"
A few things can be done to stop spam.
TimeLockGreys bot - The model can set a time of how long a grey user has to be in the chat room before they are allowed to write in the chat.
Antispambots - A bot that will prevent spambots to talk in your room using a simple captcha.
Captcha Bot - This bot works by asking the user who enters the chat room a simple question before they can write in chat. They have to answer the question correctly
